Fee bases
- The 3% Streams fee and the 2% Buyer service fee are calculated from the creator's transaction subtotal.

- Separately stated shipping, delivery, authentication, escrow, custody, and specialist-provider pass-through costs are excluded from both fee bases.
- Payment processing applies to the total amount charged through the payment rail.
- Government tax is not creator revenue and is outside the creator/platform proceeds allocation.

Buyer service fees and exemptions
The ordinary Buyer service fee is 2% on eligible commercial transactions, with a current policy ceiling of 3%. It is added to the buyer’s eligible transaction total and does not reduce the creator’s listed price or creator proceeds pool.

Refunds, disputes, reserves, and negative balances
Refund treatment follows the source of each charge. Disputes and reserves follow the circumstances of the transaction.
Refunds and disputes
- Streams returns its own 3% platform fee on a creator-authorized full refund.
- Streams returns its own 3% platform fee proportionally on a partial refund.
- Third-party processing, financing, fraud, currency, affiliate, payout, dispute, and similar costs are returned only when the relevant provider returns them.
- Chargebacks and formal disputes use the dispute schedule.
Reserves and negative balances
- Case-specific reserves may apply for fraud, disputes, fulfilment periods, pre-orders, legal obligations, or payment-provider requirements.
- The affected creator is told the applicable reserve.
- Negative balances may be recovered from available balances, subsequent proceeds, or an authorized payment method.
