7 Days of Better Body Awareness
One short activity each day to help a healthy dog think about where their body is, how they move, and how calmly they can work with you.
A sequence to follow, not a board to browse
One short activity each day to help a healthy dog think about where their body is, how they move, and how calmly they can work with you.
Move through each step in order
Day 1 — Front Paws Up
Invite your dog to place both front paws on a low, stable platform and pause with calm balance.
Day 2 — Back It Up
Reward one or two calm backward steps so your dog begins to notice and organize the rear half of their body.
Day 3 — Slow Pole Steps
Walk slowly over a small line of very low poles placed far enough apart for comfortable, thoughtful steps.
Day 4 — Side to Side
Use reward placement to encourage a calm weight shift from one side to the other without rushing.
Day 5 — Pause on the Target
Build a short approach to a mat or platform and reward a quiet, balanced pause.
Day 6 — Three-Station Circuit
Combine three familiar stations—such as a mat, a low platform, and two low poles—into one calm mini sequence.
Day 7 — Show Your Teamwork
Repeat the sequence that brought out your dog’s best focus, confidence, or joy. Keep it simple and finish while both of you want more.
Start with the first available step, use the step notes and media for context, then check in or mark completion when the creator asks for it.
Archived and completed steps can remain visible as part of the public path, while hidden and draft steps stay out of the public page.
